Artist and spy

Bulgaria / Germany

"Artist and Spy" tells the turbulent story of the German-Bulgarian artist Marran Gosov, who was both agent and filmmaker during the Cold War. Based on private archive material and Stasi files, the film creates a portrait of a man who could move just as confidently in the salons of the Schwabing bohemian scene as he could on the parquet of the secret services in East and West.
